Ongoing programs on health, education, and good governance
iLove2Read
Launched in 2004, the iLove2read program is aimed at raising reading and comprehension standards of public school students. Through partnerships with the Quezon City Capitol Jaycees, the Quezon City Division of City Schools, the Quezon City Public Library, and the Quezon City Federation of General Parents-Teachers Community Associations, known personalities and other volunteers are invited to public elementary schools to read along with students, with the goal of promoting the habit of reading not only as a form of enjoyment and learning, but also as a means of developing positive values.
iLove2Read accepts volunteer individuals and organizations. For more information, email us or visit ilove2read.org.
Araw ng Pag(b)asa
Araw ng Pag(b)asa is the annual commemoration of the birth anniversary of the late Senator Benigno ‘Ninoy’ Aquino Jr. on November 27. Simultaneous ilove2read reading sessions in and around Quezon City are held throughout the day in participating partner-schools and hospitals, making reading a shared physical experience. In 2010, over 190 sites in Quezon City and other parts of the country participated in the celebration.
Araw ng Pag(b)asa is fully recognized by the Quezon City government through Resolution No. 332, adopted by the City Council on 12 October 2009, declaring every 27th of November as Araw ng Pag(b)asa in Quezon City.
Feed the Mind
The community-centered nutrition program, Feed the Mind, is also designed to encourage a love for reading and learning. It is implemented for children in urban poor communities in District 3.

It is designed to improve access to maternal health services, including four pre-natal checkups, birth planning, mother and child and family health information, while popularizing awareness and feedback through frontline SMS.
The United Nations Development Programme recognizes public and private sector partnerships in the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on reducing maternal and child mortality rates.
